This project consists of one A3 augmented reality poster that prompts contemplation on a ‘promise’ or a ‘peril’ of the Fourt Industrial Revolution. Africa’s most important economic activity is agriculture. Agriculture offers a crucial path to industrialization and economic transformation in Africa. Agriculture provides employment for about two-thirds of the continent's working population and for each country contributes an average of 60% gross domestic product and about 30% of the value of exports. With the use of Agriculture, farmers can provide more food and faster for users to use, boosting the economic activities in Africa and also reduce starvation. This A3 augmented reality poster make farmers aware of the positive effects the Fourt Industrial Revolution (Agriculture) has on farming in Africa. As such, the poster consists of a black and white illustration of a Third Industrial Revolution tractor that is currently used by farms. This symbolize the timeline Africa is currently in. When the user scans the poster with the Artivive app the tractor of the Third Industrial Revolution transforms into a colorful augmented reality video showing how farming will work in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This augmented reality video will show how the numbers of food productivity increase and starvation numbers reduce, this will show how farmers use iPads to feed their plants and how plants grow faster than usually. Technology objects will also be shows in the video like drones that fly across lands to give the plants water. This A3 augmented reality poster will be informative and give the viewers an informative idea of how the Fourth Industrial Revolution will have a positive effect on Africa.
